The two, becoming best friends after nine months of nothing but phone conversations, decided to meet in Amarillo, Texas. Commuting to see each other, while she attended Baylor University, the two decided to end the torture of a long-distance relationship by blissfully getting married.
Isa went on to finish her degree in political science from the University of Colorado. She and her husband, gloriously married for fifteen short honeymoon years, share their home in the Midwest with three adorably pompous fur balls and a contagiously vigorous Weimaraner.
