Q: What inspires you to create the heart-pounding, dig-your-toes-into-the-carpet wickedly twisted plot and subplots?
A: Why, thank you . . . er, I think. Awakening my dark side helps in addition to listening to the haunting instrumentals of Celtic music, which I listen to even when I’m creating tender and tearful scenes— not necessarily one in the same.

Q: What books keep your life enriched?
A: First and foremost: the Bible, which I find to be the most precious, sacred writings God could ever gift us with; His Word keeps me centered. Second: Shakespeare and Sir Walter Scott— their work is beyond eloquent poetry, for it feeds the human soul. Third: Irresistibly, How the Irish Saved Civilization: The Untold Story of Ireland’s Heroic Role from the Fall of Rome to the Rise of Medieval Europe, written by Thomas Cahill, is a richly woven historical tapestry about this most beautiful culture that’s stolen my heart to such humble depths, making me understand that if it weren’t for the Irish, a most precious gift to the human soul may not exist: books.
