Q: I read in a newspaper article that Blood Raven’s Last Battle Prince is the second book in the trilogy you’re creating. Do I need to wait for the first in the series to be published before I read this one?
A: No, not at all. Each book is created/written to stand on its own. While I’m nearly finished with the first in the trilogy, which has a setting in the Ardennes, third century B.C., I’ve begun the last which has two primary settings: England and United States, modern-day.
Q: You have a rich tapestry of colorful characters in your book. Is there any chance you might compose a manuscript about some of them . . . namely Machraith?
A:I’ve played with the thought, yes, especially about Machraith; his character still haunts my mind, because I don’t think I want him quite finished just because the book is finished. As well, other characters I’m devoted to are Arthur’s granddaughter, Lili, and Cadfael’s grandson, Awstin, and, finally, King Dubhcath.
